Tennis: Federer begins Wimbledon assault, debuts latest Nike outfit

Roger Federer made his first appearance on the green lawns of Centre Court opening play at 1pm as is tradition for the defending men's champion at Wimbledon.
The top seed easily dismissed Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 and is now six matches away from a sixth consecutive crown.
The stylish Swiss also debuted his latest Nike look which always pays homage to Wimbledon's rich and storied past. This year Federer is wearing a cream colored cardigan with gold piping and a crest featuring his "RF" logo, the Federer Wimbledon Polo, Control Shorts, a matching d-ring canvas belt with a "5" signifying his five consecutive wins here, and new Nike Vapors with the "RF" and "5" emblazoned on the heel.
Federer decided he was ready to change things up opting out of his popular blazer and pant combo from the last two years:
Two jackets were enough. It was like 'let's move on', but the jacket might be back next year. We thought something different would be nice. The result's nice - and I've got a belt this year too. It's nice. It's easier to wear than the jacket to be honest.
What can you say? A clean and classic look and a perfect start for Federer.

I sure hope he can pull off a win here.
