It does seem pretty queer that he would actually bite a trophy in order to claim it. I dunno but it seems to me he never got treated for a long over due, rabid animal bite...just my thoughts however...

Congrats Rafa! Your victory was very satisfying at Wimby! Knew were great on clay, but on grass WOW! Btw, nothing "sexual" about his biting the trophy. Several champs men and women have done the same thing. Vamos Rafa!

There's an old tradition of pirates biting on a piece of gold or silver to check its authenticity. Given Mr. Nadal's penchant for wearing piratas outfits, this behavior makes perfect sense -- as in, "Ahoy matey, I've got me loot. Arghhhhhh"

I stumbled on his game... 1st time for me... who knew Tennis Players look as good from behind as American Football Players - without the padding! I was enchanted. They were fun to watch, both of them. And Raphael's beautiful accent when he claimed his trophy... aiy aiy aiy!
