Ara Abrahamian (aka - Drama Queen) was stripped of his bronze medal by the International Olympic Committee for violating the spirit of fair play during the medal ceremony.

As previously reported, Ara had stepped off the podium and removed the bronze medal around his neck and dropped it on the wrestling mat and walked away not participating in the rest of the medal ceremony. The Swedish wrestler was upset about what he calls a "political" decision when a penalty call decided his semifinal match.

The IOC ruled Abrahamian's actions to be disrespectful to his fellow athletes. The stripped bronze medal will not be awarded to another athlete as his disqualification was not connected to the competition itself. Abrahamian has yet to apologize or express regret for his actions.

Wow. He should be banned from ever participating in any kind of Olympic or International event. What a sore loser! He could have just taken it out of his neck when he stepped down from the podium like any self-respecting Olympians who didn't like the way they were treated. That is the only classy way to show your disagreement.

Not fair people. Remember there are two sides to this issue- Abrahamian was judged out by politics. A sore looser is someone who gets the chance to compete and then complains, this was not the case here. I applaud him for standing upp to corrupt judging pratices. If you don't believe, watch the tape!

I agree it would be nice to know more about the fact pattern, although I'm unsure I personally could judge a technical matter in this sport myself from a video review.

Who said he shouldn't show this contempt. But then there's a classy way and then there's an Abrahamian way.
