Alex Rodriguez and Madonna can come out of the relationship closet soon enough

So could it be that Alex Rodriguez was the downfall of Madonna's already rocky marriage?

There were rumors of an affair between the pair this past summer when it was discovered A-Rod was frequently visiting her Upper West Side apartment. Then in late summer Madge reportedly visited his pricey Westchester county rental home. Most recently, A-Rod was spotted front and center for one of Madge's sold-out Sticky & Sweet stops in Madison Square Garden.

Cynthia Rodriguez, A-Rod's former wife, filed for divorce in July from the Yankee hitter citing his dalliances with women while yesterday Madge and husband Guy Ritchie formally announced they will be divorcing.

A source told the New York Post,

Things got to a breaking point about a month ago. And they [Madonna and Ritchie] did an intensive, two-week kabbalah course. That didn't work.

Another source told US Weekly that "A-Rod and Madonna are more involved than ever" and added,

Alex has really missed spending time with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna's in. Madonna wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing.

Is it a coincidence these rumors about A-Rod and Madge surfaced and now both have or are in the process of separating from their respective spouses? Probably not, though I don't believe their romance was the cause of the breakup but the last straw in the Ritchie's already estranged marriage.

So I guess the Material Girl and her baseball stud can practice kabbalah, open a chain of gyms, visit Malawi together, or do whatever their cheating heart's desire now.

What in the world is A-Rod thinking
this woman could be his mother, is he looking for a mother figure? He had a beautiful wife & two beautiful children, he left them to be with a woman who may be a superstar but she is on her last leg, this tour is her last harrah. A-Rod in 10 years she will be a great looking 60 year old icon. I know you like a lot of attention and want to be the center of attraction always but really with all the beautiful women you can have your choice of why somebody 20-yrs. your senior, and the baby thing she is advertising does she really want everyone to believe her reproductive organs are still functioning, yeah right. Wake up you gorgeous guy you are really selling yourself short.
