Larry Johnson: Why is this Guy Allowed to Remain in the NFL?
Roger Goodell, in his short tenure as NFL Commissioner, has attempted to establish a more serious tone regarding player conduct off the field. Witness his suspension of Pacman Jones for a year. And I applaud him for this tone.
But let me give Roger a piece of advice. If you are going to ride the moral high ground, buddy, then ride it! Don’t half-ass/half-step into this area. Witness Pacman Jones being allowed to come back into the League, and, having screwed up again, only getting a four game suspension.
And this brings us to Chiefs running back Larry Johnson. Larry Johnson has had at least a half dozen disturbing civil and criminal incidents over the past few years, most recently assaulting a woman in a bar. He seems to have a penchant for messing around with women.
The Kansas City Chiefs have deactivated him. Not suspended him. The NFL – and Commissioner Goodell – need to step in and bounce this thug from the League. And while they are at it, bounce Pacman Jones.
If you are going to be serious about this new code of conduct, then get serious, Roger.

A Cubs and Northwestern fan, Joe Moag is a major sports junkie, and although he still runs, he hasn't been able to dunk anything more than a donut for decades.
larry johnson having repeated issues with women calls out for his need to work through his same sex attraction. the women he assaults are innocent victims of his self-hatred regarding his same sex feelings. i hope he gets the help he needs and is able to come to terms with it before he ruins his career.
