Fantasy Football: Quarterbacks
Some of this years top performers in the NFL quarterback position have been complete surprises. Seriously, Jay Cutler? Didn't see that one coming. Here are the top 5 fantasy quarterbacks so far this season (based on yards + touchdowns - turnovers), in order:
Drew Brees - Saints
Kurt Warner - Cardinals
Jay Cutler - Broncos
Phillip Rivers - Chargers
Aaron Rodgers - Packer Nation
My goofy ass had only Brees in my top picks. You'll notice that there is no Peyton, no Brady, no "my widdle pinkie hurts" Romo... Injury has creamed the league this year, and allowed upstarts like Cutler, Rivers and Rodgers to take the lime light.
Brees is amazing, but plays for the 'Aints. Who cares, right? He's great for fantasy owners. And Kurt Warner is like the Energizer bunny. In fact, he's only the 10th QB to throw for over 10,000 yards for two different teams.
TIP O' THE DAY:
If you haven't picked up the New England Patriots new running back, Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis (from Ole Miss, you know Houston Nutt WISHES he had him this year), pick the guy up!!! He's a stud and plays tonight against the Jets who give up over 120 yards per game on the ground.
