Former 49er Steve Young Breaks With Mormon Church and Votes No on Prop 8
Steve Young, former quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, and his wife Barbara are urging people to vote No on Prop 8 in California. And their support isn't just a token one, they've donated $37,000 as well.
One of the most well-known Mormons in the country, Young is breaking from the church's stance on this proposition. The fact that Young, who just happens to be the great-great-great-grandson of Brigham Young, the second president of the Mormon church, is going against his church, shows that not all Mormons can be lumped together on this issue.
Thanks STEVE & BARBARA!!!!!!
Great story - I had no idea that Young did this, good for him. You have spelled mormon wrong in the title, Morman, is incorrect, mormon is the right way. But for me, it's always more men!!!!

Various news reports make it appear as though Young and his wife are hedging a wee bit on their break from the cult, I mean, church, at least in their public pronouncements.

I always was Steve Young fan when he was playing ball--class act. This just doubles my admiration and respect for the man.
