Boise St. & a BCS Bowl: Is that shit WAC?

Ian_johnson_83853574 Ah, I love these arguments.  Which bottom of the Top 10 ranked college football team deserves the last BCS Bowl bid, and which one does not?  This year, the debate is between Boise St., out of the WAC Conference, and Ohio St., out of the Big Ten Conference.

Charlie Weis: This Guy’s Gotta Go

Charlie_weis_83858454 Charlie Weis, he of the “when I am Notre Dame head coach, we will have a decided schematic advantage in every game we play”, has just finished the season 6-6.  6-6, against a horribly weak schedule.  6-6, without beating any team of consequence.  6-6, after getting WAXED by USC, 38-3 (thank GOD for that 4th quarter field goal when the Irish were already down over 30.  That sure saved some face, huh?).

College Basketball: North Carolina Star Helps Saves The Day

Tyler_hansbrough_80515105 North Carolina's Tyler Hansbrough is considered to be one of the best college basketball players. Not only is he talented, adorable, hunky, drop dead gorgeous, and possibly my future husband, but he is also a really nice guy as well.

The Tar Heels were returning from Hawaii on a flight after winning the Maui Classic Invitational Tournament when a passenger on board was discovered passed out. The flight crew immediately called for assistance and Tyler and two other members of the North Carolina basketball crew jumped to their feet and immediately rushed over help to lift the passenger to the galley so that paramedics could help rescue the man.

Turkey for Thanksgiving

Detroit_lions_83845755 Thanksgiving means football.  Big time, NFL, glorious football.  Well, at least football.  Detroit vs. Tennessee.   The whole nation, sitting around, enjoying each other’s company, thankful for so many things on this, the best holiday of the year.  And this is the game that we get on CBS.

College Football: Week Fourteen Picks

Georgia_bulldogs_72325045 Were down to two weeks left in the 2008 college football regular season. I can't believe we are winding down, just when the fun started. There are some great games on tap this week as RIVALRY WEEK is upon us. Donovan McNabb's Rough Week

Who's The Bigger Ass?

Barry_bonds_82234451 Two of our favorite superstars are on the podium for the annual "Player to Hate" award, and it's a tight race. Barry "I don't use performance-enhancing drugs I-swear-on-the-bible" Bonds, and Michael "animal cruelty is hilarious" Vick have just come back into the spotlight again, right when real teams and players are celebrating victories on the field and in the World Series winners circle.

Will they steal the spotlight? Are they the most hated? And more importantly, who do you hate? Is it one of these clowns? Or is it T.O., who, with 200 yds and a TD just ended your fantasy dreams? Ahh. So many to hate, so little time.
