Jack Mackenroth Goes For Gold Again

Jack Mackenroth 82675453 Jack Mackenroth may not have grabbed the top prize while on Project Runway, but he's no stranger to winning.

Having won gold medals at a number of Gay Games, he's taking another shot at gold, this time at the 2009 Outgames in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“I'm the kind of person who takes my medals and just throws them in a box, but I really want to win one in Copenhagen.  I feel, at my age, I have to be swimming at least five times per week to maintain good aerobic fitness." Mackenroth will be turning 40 in April and will compete in the Masters Division for 40 to 45 year olds.

Having won gold in a number of Gay Games, most recently in Chicago in 2006, Mackenroth is hoping to duplicate his success at the Outgames by competing in a number of breaststroke and freestyle events.

The Copenhagen Outgames will take place July 25 through August 2.
