Spectator Sport: Brit Tennis Baller Andy Murray
Meet Andy Murray - a Brit baller via Scotland who's been on a tear since coming back from 2-sets to love down to beat Frenchie Richard Gasquet in the fourth round of Wimbledon last year.
Since then the 21-year old reached his first major final at the US Open, losing to Roger Federer, and has collected 4 titles including 2 Masters Series shields (Cincinnati, Madrid). He's beaten Fed 4 times in a row since that loss in New York (including an exo in Abu Dhabi earlier this month), and has wins over top baller Rafael Nadal and defending Aussie Open champ Novak Djokovic. Pretty gawdy stuff.
Andy also just put himself through a super intense off-season training intensive in Miami, hence the ripped bod. But, don't hold the pasty skin against him - he's been working on it. Seriously.

Nice looking guy, but if he's such a major tennis star, why can't he afford a shirt? I know the economy sucks right now, but seriously, he can't afford a tank top?

Why are Americans so obsessed with perfection that the teeth have to glow in black light and look almost unnatural in their perfect alignment?
Why are Americans so afraid of the real human condition that they put themselves through the tortures of surgery to avoid it?
Take a good look at American Celebrities these days. The plastic surgery is so bad they're all starting to look like Cat People.
This guy looks great. The "imperfections" only add to his allure.

I'm a big Federer fan but I agree this could be Murray's year cuz of his recent results. I still want Fed to win at least 2 more slams to break Sampras' record. To somebody who asked why he's not wearing a shirt, he's practicing in Australia where it's about 100 deg. I'm just happy there's some tennis coverage here at gay.com.

Canadian here, and i really agree with Hector. American (meaning both states and canada) is extremely obsessed with perfection. BUT... I really don see anything wrong with his teeth. They don't look crooked... you don't like them because he has longer canines than normal?? Holy crap! Besides, if the author wanted to have the man of his article criticized for how he looks and how he dresses, he'd have not put this article in the sports section.
My residences don't have a lot of tennis on tv, mostly hockey. But, if this guy is better than Federer, all the luck to him.

Re. JD
Just ask Phelps.
Both Andies (Roddick and Murray) are okay, but I'm rooting for Federer. Here's looking at your 14th grand slam!

Who thinks this guy is cute? NOT at all, neither is M Phelps. Nice body, can you convince him to wear a paper sack on his head always???

I don't see anything wrong with his teeth, Maybe whoever said that should do something with his crossed eyes.
This guy pictured still just doesn't do it for me.
It isn't that I only look for perfection.
This guy looks like he would be a dorky nerd.
And I just don't like most Red Heads.
It is my preference.
His ABS are just OK, but the rest of him looks like a clumsy Geek.
Sorry if sharing my point of view twists your panties, but tough shit.

Andy Murray IS getting better, but Roddick is looking better too. Neither hold a flame to the top three right now, and that includes the ailing Djokovic.
And leave it to gay men to come to a sports section and rip on the guy's appearance. So sick of this type of obsession with physiques and beauty. Can't wait til you guys turn old and gray and realize that nobody gives a shit about you for the same reason you ripped on others. What a joke.

The same people who criticize the natural looks of Andy Murray would have fit right in with Hitler who only wanted a world of blonde and blue-eyed males. Yes, leave it to "some" gay men to place themselves on a pedestal where they can feel far superior to others. Their turn will come one day to be criticized for imperfections, and it comes sooner than expected. I feel sorry for them. Stoney

While I think that Americans can sometimes place a great deal of importance on physical minutiae, I do not think that finding Andy Murray unattractive warrants such adjectives as "superficial" and "persnickety". I´m Honduran and I think he´s one of the most visually displeasing specimens on the ATP tour. With the likes of such adonises as Novak Djokovic, Tommy Robredo, Fernando Verdasco and Yvonne Meusburger, it´s rather appalling that tennis fans must look to Murray for gratification. Bisou bisou.

And with all this criticism this is why it is hard to even enjoy the sport - look at his skill not worry about his teeth (which look fine) his "pasty" skin, so what?! What in the world does that have to do with anything, just accept the guy for who is and start looking at yourselves. I agree it's a shame to read why he does or doesn't look good. If you don't think he looks good so what, be quiet.
