Sports Pulse: Basketball

Tony Parker & Chris Paul If you're reading this, chances are you're a sports fan. But with the wide world of sports expanding all the time (and hot athletes to keep track of), we want to know which sport makes your jock itch.

Everyday for the next two weeks, we'll be running a different poll asking you to gauge your level of interest: are you an ice skating fanatic or is soccer more your cup of tea? Be a sport and let us know.

I have LITTLE interest in NBA, but HUGE interest in college hoops!

I am a HUGE basketball fan. I played the game in hs and college and now I am the sports director at the radio station and I done play by play for high school basketball for the last 13yrs. My daughter even plays college ball now so I stay very involed in the game

Rob, you are an idiot.

Anyway, I, also, am a HUGE basketball fan. Played from age 8 through HS, and still by pick-up games. Big NBA fan (gotta go Lakers)... also have refereed and coached in the past. It's the greatest sport because it is so up-close and personal and combines the best of power, agility, and mental strength and wit.
Any other ballers, find me at lakeshow99@hotmail.com

Always loved the game -- played since I was a kid up through high school and still hit the blacktop with the ballers.

It's a pure game designed with athleticism in mind.

HUGE basketball fan... LAKERS #1, follow Nuggets and TrailBlazers, plus keep up on most of the teams. It's where the action is - think about it. In Football they play for maybe 5-10 seconds at a time, then take a break, pat each other on the ass (Like that part!), and maybe after a minute or 2 they play for 3-8 seconds. and get paid freaking million$$$. Atleast in basketball they play for several minutes at a time and the action is always going, until a coach plays the foul game at the end. And no pads - you see all the player, the hits, the shots. Now football is great and I watch it - but I have the NBA package for a reason....and to Ravishing Rob: more white guys? and the black guys are ugly? Do you even actually watch basketball? Go to a game live - then get back to us!

Basketball was a lot more fun to watch on TV years ago when the guys' shorts were much shorter!

i love basketball i also am a fan of the collage game better then the pro but i have to say i love to watch the womans game over the mens and the wnba over the nba but basketball is the best

Contrary to the blog's opening statement, I am not a sports fan at all. (Note that "sports" is something largely far removed from, the bastard offspring, the bizarro clone of "athletics" or "pastime" etc.) A local pick-up game might be okay, and normally Olympics is too except that in basketball it's become simply another All-Star game. Um, hello? AMATEUR athletes??

Anyway, the game doesn't do it for me half as much as some of the players may themselves, and I definitely love a dude in a pair of b-ball shorts maybe even more than a pair of futbol shorts. :)

No Basketball never really did it for me, even when on a High School team.
I like hockey only when they fight.
The majority of Rugbe players are the hottest men on the planet in my book.
Baseball players are generally cute too, although baseball is very boring to watch.
Football is my favorite. I can't tell you the full stats of most players, but I just loved SuperBowl 43 & close games like that.
Steve Gregory, #43 of the San Diego Chargers, is probably the Hottest Football Player I have ever met.
Wait a minute, ...
He is the only Pro Football player I have ever met. And HOT DAMN.

Great article. Thanks for the post.
