So Long, Jay!
Well, the baby is gonna get his wish. Denver Broncos’s owner Pat Bowlen has announced that the team is actively trying to trade Jay Cutler.
Ah, great move! Well played, Jay! I mean, who wants to build a career as a quarterback playing half your games in mile-high thin air (where the ball travels forever) for a team that has a long-term historical – and successful – commitment to throwing the ball, for a team with excellent receivers, for a fan base that supports you.
That had to have sucked! No, much better to bitch and moan and pout and snit over having been a potential-maybe-kinda-possible-trade-bait rumor, and then decide that you aren’t “loved enough” by the franchise than to have to play under conditions like those in Denver!
Let’s see where Baby Huey winds up: Tampa? Minnesota? Not exactly pass-happy teams with long histories of successful air assaults. The Jets? I hope so. That way Jay Cutler will really learn what it means not to be loved.

A Cubs and Northwestern fan, Joe Moag is a major sports junkie, and although he still runs, he hasn't been able to dunk anything more than a donut for decades.

To be honest, I don't really see where he is doing anything wrong. The NFL is a business. ESPN loves inciting the fans, sure. And he is being made out to be a whiner.
But he is likely going to end up on a team with a better defense. He's going to end up with a contract extension, including a large signing bonus.
Yup, he hasn't won jack on the field during his short career. And while QBs are measured by wins and losses, most QBs aren't saddled with the awful units the Broncos have thrown out there lately.
If defenses win championships, you can't completely blame Cutler for Denver's failures.
But chances are, he is just a league-average QB at best. And if that's the case, and he tricks some team into getting him a fat new signing bonus, he's just worked some magic.
After all, it's a business.
Maybe he hates living in Denver. Maybe he had already lost his locker room before all this happened. Maybe he is sick of seeing his top receiver's name in the police blotter constantly. Or maybe he went through a secret breakup with a boyfriend in Denver or something.
Haha, we don't know. But there's always more to the story than what we hear on ESPN.

Precisely. It is a business, not a love-in. And as a business, any and all players and coaches and managers are subject to trade rumors, trades, getting cut, fired, etc., at any and all times.
Jay Cutler is the one who is refusing to differentiate a business from being "loved" and "appreciated".
It was Cutler who has thrown the 2-month long snit after the trade rumors emerged. It was Cutler who refused to attend meetings or meet with owner or manager until he was ready. It was Cutler who put out statements to the press displaying his petulant attitude towards McDaniels and the "lack-of-love" he is feeling. It was Cutler and his folks who put their Denver area house on the market as an intentional signal/theat to the Broncos to "love him or else".
Not ESPN. Jay Cutler did these things. Countless media sources have documented these things, his quotes, etc. Not ESPN alone.

Update: Last month, Cutler told the press and the Broncos that he wanted a trade. Yesterday, the Broncos announced that ok, they were looking actively to trade him now, since they don't feel he is any longer commited to being a Bronco.
And, today, on the news of this, Jay Cutler has released a statement to Fox Sports that he is shocked that the Broncos are looking to trade him. Quote: "I didn't think that it would get this far."
HA! Well, Baby Huey, better be careful what you wish for in the future, and be a little more careful of how and when you throw major league snits.

(Stunning) Update: The Broncos have traded Cutler to the Bears.
The BEARS! HA! That's hysterical on two levels:
One: the Bears and passing are two ships that don't even cross in the night.
Two: Now I get to hate Jay Cutler up close in personal, here in Chicago.
Hi-LARIOUS!

Well, all I know that Jay never got along with his former Denver head coach and that is why he asked for a trade. I have no idea if he was not very happy living in Denver. Lucky him because he now lives in Chicago. Chicago is my most favorite city and I have been in the process of moving there, but my point is that I wish I lived there now. I live here in Washington, DC and really don't give a damn about the Redskins because Buffalo is my most favorite team - hey, I originally am from Rochester, NY where I was born and grew up there. The Bears are seconded to the Bills. The Packers are the third. I really HOPE to meet Jay in Chicago one day. It would be nice if we fooled around in a bed, but I doubt it anyway! HA!
