Is The Clock Ticking For Big Ben?
Roethlisberger joins a long list of star athletes who have been accused of running astray of the law. What makes star athletes think they are above the law? Is Kobe Bryant a role model? Does Michael Vick represent the type of young man we want the current generation to aspire to? Does Big Ben stand as tall today as he did after his last Super Bowl win? These are only a few of the bad boy athletes who have gained headlines for their indiscretions over the past couple of years.
Does Kobe, Michael, or Ben have any trouble meeting women or finding a social life? What makes these guys think they can get away with this type of behavior? There are very few people who play basketball better than Kobe. Michael Vick had the potential to be an incredible athlete. Big Ben is not even 28 years old and he has two (2) super bowl rings. You can’t take that away from them and I do not want to. However, we cannot condone it either.
Most such cases get quietly settled usually with money to buy silence or to satisfy alleged victims. However, this behavior has the potential to minimally shatter the dreams of young athletes and, more likely, tarnish the image of the professional sports athlete. Stop acting like drunken frat boys and start acting like grown men. Being big, hot, talented, and/or rich means nothing if you cannot be a real man!
Big Ben, as the latest offender, you should man up, apologize to all concerned, and take the hits you deserve for your reckless behavior over the last three years. To paraphrase the words of Ernest Hemingway, “… never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee” Big Ben!

You're assumption here is that he's already guilty, and that she filed a criminal complaint. He's innocent until proven guilty, and the accuser has so far only filed a civil complaint (AKA for the MONEY!). Plus, she's way past crazy:
"Sources connected with the case tell us a former co-worker of McNulty’s at Harrah’s came forward with this incredible story — that around the time McNulty hooked up with Roethlisberger, she was allegedly involved with a married man. The man’s wife, we’re told, created an email account, posing as a U.S. soldier in Iraq. The wife began corresponding with McNulty to gain information. We’re told the former co-worker has said McNulty fell in love with the fictitious soldier and began telling people she was engaged to him. When the wife stopped the correspondence, McNulty then began telling people the soldier was killed in action.
We’re told McNulty told at least one co-worker she began seeing a psychiatrist because of the phantom soldier." (TMZ)

Yeah, this is disappointing, you don't even let the case play out before accusing him? You're worse than she is, she'll only make money if he's found guilty, but you plan on getting your licks in one way or another. Do I know if he's guilty or not? Nope. Am I willing to condemn him before he gets a fair trial? Hell no.
And your information regarding Kobe Bryant is so spot on... Oh wait, no it's not, that didn't go to trial either, she lied repeatedly then refused to testify until the judge dismissed the charges.
Do some freaking research Stephen Glass.
