Let the Trading Begin

MLB Brewers Mark DeRosa, Felipe Lopez, and Jeff Francoeur have already been shipped out. But as the MLB Trade Deadline approaches, many begin to wonder where some of the big names may be ending up.

Only nine teams would really count themselves out of their divisional and wild card races, which leaves 21 other teams to be buyers. It has become a large sellers' market with this many teams looking to make an acquisition to help the team down the stretch.

The largest name made available is Roy Halladay, but with such a high price tag, not many teams will come calling for his services, as good as they are. The Philadelphia Phillies and Los Angeles Angels seem to be the most likely destinations with lackluster pitching in sub par divisions.

Many teams need different pieces. The St. Louis Cardinals continue to search for another hitter to compliment Albert Pujols and Ryan Ludwick. The Chicago Cubs want a middle infielder and, if you ask Ryan Braun, the Milwaukee Brewers need lots of help on the mound.

Wild Card leading San Fransisco Giants could stand adding a hitter, to compliment their solid pitching staff. The New York Yankees always seems to need more and better pitching, while the Boston Red Sox seem to have a surplus of pitching now.

The only thing we know for sure about these teams at the trade deadline is that we actually know nothing.
