With Spring Comes The Annual Baseball Fantasy Draft

David Price 83852727 I want to talk about something most of us do but don't admit to -- playing fantasy baseball. I have no shame in admitting I've played since Dickie Thon was a prime pick. Everyone talks about who should go first in the draft, but what you need to know is who to pick late.

Fantasy Football: Running Backs

Adrian_peterson_83681850 Ahh. The running back. Cornerstone of your team, leaders of champions. Did you pick the right guys? If you did, you'll be in the playoffs. Get a couple of duds, and you're screwed. Top 5 so far this season, in order: (rankings based on total yards + touchdowns - turnovers)
Clinton Portis - Redskins
Adrian Peterson - Vikings
Thomas Jones - Jets
Matt Forte - Bears
Brandon Jacobs - Giants

Fantasy Football Update

Hank_baskett_83623836 We’re down to only four games left in the regular season of most fantasy leagues. It’s been a crazy year to say the least. Injuries have, like most years, dominated and decimated rosters and teams.

Fantasy Football: Who ya pickin?

Tom_brady_82209541_2 This is the big weekend for fantasy football. This is draft time! After the jump I've listed the players I'm looking at, and when I'm hopefully going to try to get them.

While the proven rationale is to pick running backs in the first two rounds, this year might be the one to shake that up.

Fantasy Football: The Draft

So the draft is on. Now, what's your strategy? Who do you pick? And more importantly, when? If you're going in totally blind and don't even know the players, then you MIGHT want to pay attention. It's actually worked for me when I've been shitfaced.

Here's how you can maximize your picks on draft day, even without knowing who's who.

Fantasy Football: Here's how you play!

Packers_coach_82264465(Getty Images)
This is just a quick rundown of how you play. It's for beginners. If you're in a league and know how to play, go read something else. This is strictly the rules for a league I'm in that I enjoy the most. There are a billion ways to structure a league, and I'm going to run down only one of them.

I'll post my draft techniques soon, including players that I'm looking at this year.

Keep reading for the basics.

Michael Phelps swaps spit with female Australian swimmer!

Michael_phelps_stephanie_rice_82456(Getty Images)
Just great, I guess my heart must go on. Michael Phelps was seen celebrating his record-breaking eight gold medals by swapping spit with Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice. The two swimmers had a hot make-out session at a celebratory party outside the Olympic Village in Beijing.

Rice won three gold medals and was seen at a Speedo photo shoot with Michael as well. Phelps must be attracted to gold medals is how I am justifying this earth shattering news.

While I did win a gold medal for my 5th grade field day potato sack race, it appears my chances of landing Phelps is quickly fading. I have always been known for having excellent "lip action" skills, but apparently I can't match whatever Ms. Rice has "down under."

Guess I will have to move on, not the way I wanted to end the Olympics. Where is my dream? I even had the IOC committee change my birth date from 42 to 24 so I would have a chance.
